Rouz — Privacy Policy
Rouz is an alarm app by Riverlabs. This page describes what the app actually does with data — all of it.
Almost everything stays on your phone
- Your alarms, wake history, streaks and settings are stored on your device only. We never upload them.
- Mission photos and wake mugshots are stored on your device only, excluded from device backups, and automatically deleted after 7 days. They are never uploaded and never analyzed on a server. A photo leaves your phone only if you share a Wake Receipt yourself, through the system share sheet.
- The camera is used for wake-up missions and the optional wake mugshot. Mission photos are checked on your device by Apple's Vision framework — on-device, not in a cloud.
What reaches our servers
- Account (optional). If you Sign in with Apple, we store your name (if you choose to share it) and email with our database provider (Supabase) to identify your account. Access rules restrict every account row to its own signed-in user. You can delete your account and this data at any time in Settings → Delete account.
- Anonymous usage counters. Tiny events such as “a receipt was rendered” or “a receipt was shared”, with the streak day number. They contain no photos and no personal data, and are not linked to your account.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple — we never see your payment details. Purchase screens are displayed via Superwall, which receives basic app-usage signals tied to a random identifier — never your photos or account data. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors named above — Supabase, Superwall and Apple — or if the law leaves us no choice. We never sell personal data, to anyone, anywhere. Our providers process data in the United States and the European Union.
Your rights
Wherever you live — including the EU/UK and California — you can access, correct or delete your data. Account deletion is built into the app (Settings → Delete account); for anything else, email us and we'll handle it.
What we don't do
No ads. No third-party trackers. No push notifications.
Children
Rouz is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update appears on this page with a new effective date.
